Dear Ojai
Angler,
WHat an awesome 1/2 day of
fishing we had on sunday, october 12, 2008!! first of all, it was nice to
experience a whole 4 hours , since the first time, june 2006, due to unfortunate everyone that attended my
wedding that year, was able to view my prize catch, as i included that photo in
my wedding video. LOL woulo u believe some people thought it was "computer
enhanced!" all in all, my friend, maria and my sisters, teri and josette and
myself had a wonderful 1 1/2 hours of fishing that day....which brings me to our
october 12 fishing day......
a belated father's day gift
for my husband, tommy. it was a cool, blustery afternoon when we met marc at
lake castaic. the bass boat with the mercury engine was absolutely beautiful
and fully stocked with everything we needed.
after catching more live
bait, pinheads, we continued our mission for the record breaking large mouth
bass!! although, we didn't capture it that day, we did manage to bring in ten
decent size bass. including my prize catch ....a nine pound catfish !!!!!! it
was the biggest i have ever seen! caught on "4 lb. test line"..
fyi!!
the fight was awesome!!
marc coached me every step of the way, making sure i was doing everything right,
preventing line breakage, etc. everytime i thought the fish was close it would
take the line and run deep. almost thought it was the "record breaking" bass,
until marc called out "CATFISH !!" WE FINALLY PULLED HIM IN FOR A PHOTO SHOOT
AND I WAS ECSTATIC!!!! wHAT a rush that was !
all in all, even though the
wind created a challenge we had a great day with marc ! his expertise,
patience, positive attitude, knowledge, and friendliness created a memorable,
and fun fishing day with ojai angler !! on behalf of tommy, christian, and
myself, we extend a huge "mahalo" (thank you). we will definitely share our
experience with our famiilies and friends with high regard to your company,
especially captain marc! see you next year!!!!

another enjoyable day at Lake Casitas. This was my fourth trip with you, and I
have not been disappointed yet. I am sure that I will continue to use Ojai

I have been bass fishing for many years and I have never had a day like that on the water..........
I must say that I was a bit skeptical at first with the amount of time that we spent catching bait......but it was well worth it after we started fishing........... like Marc said each bait is a potential fish.......and one other quote from Marc......"All Day Long".......
Marc is an awesome guide and very knowledgeable and I learned a lot from him...........
I am going to use some if this knowledge in Jersey and see how I do..........
I just can't wait to do this again........
All of my nephews want to join me in another trip.............
So sometime next year you will be hearing from me again to book another trip.......

THE BASS BITE WAS PRETTY GOOD THEN TAPERED OFF AROUND 11:00 AM. I DECIDED TO TRY THE LUNKER POTION ON MY BAITS, AND, NO JOKE, I CAUGHT TWICE AS MANY FISH AS JASON IN THE FOLLOWING HOUR. I FINALLY GAVE IN AND LET HIM USE THE LUNKER POTION TOO! IT RELLY DOES WORK�����. WE CAUGHT AROUND 60 BASS IN ABOUT 4 HOURS. THOUGHT YOU�D WANT TO KNOW.

"I have to start by saying I have fished Lake Casitas for Bass as least a dozen times in the last 2 years, & I got lucky once this year and caught on 5 lb. Largemouth. That's a lot of time, money and effort for one fish. Then on Jun 29th of this year, my son Kato, our friend Larry , and myself chartered Marc for a half-day trip. There was one other gentle man on the boat with us. In 4 hours of fishing we all caught fish, the smallest one being about 4 lb. and I was thrilled to catch a double digit Trophy Bass. The service from Marc which included all the gear, bait & tackle was the greatest, but most of all it was the relaxed and easy way everything was presented. After just a short time it was like we had all been doing this for years together. The three of us are already planning the next trip with "The Ojai Angler."
